We might be feeling sorry for ourselves at the beginning of 2009,but there are plenty of people who really struggle, and the annual Fireball in aid of the World Mercy Fund continues to be a fun way of helping them.
This year's black-tie event, the ninth, will take place in The Shelbourne Hotel, St Stephens Green on Friday, February 20th, and includes a cocktail reception, dinner and dancing. Organised by a group of dedicated young professionals, the Fireball raised more than €35,000 for community development projects in Africa and India.
