Minions launch a takeover at Taste of Dublin

The masterchefs and celebrity foodies at Taste of Dublin may have met their match when the minions check in for a special appearance there this weekend

Get the kids in the kitchen this weekend as Taste of Dublin teams up with Universal Pictures Ireland to host a Minion-themed family fun zone.

Minions Kevin, Stuart and Bob will be hosting an interactive arts and crafts zone, with face-painting, daily entertainment shows and kid-friendly baking demonstrations with Kevin Dundon, all to celebrate the release of Minions in cinemas on June 26th.

For those unaware of Minion heritage you need to know that since the dawn of time Minions have been destined to serve nefarious masters, from T-Rex, to the Pharaohs to Napoleon.

Finding themselves without a master to minion for before Despicable Me's hero/baddie Gru, the Minions find themselves lost and depressed. Kevin, Stuart and Bob decided to venture out into the world and have teamed up with Scarlet Overkill, an ambitious baddie voiced by Sandra Bullock who is determined to become the world's first female super-villain.
