It’s that special time of the year when the city is buzzing and party season is full swing. This could mean a lot of day and night-time excursions and it can be daunting to know what to wear. A capsule collection will get you through the last months of the year. From office wear with a twist, to casual, to head-turning party looks, you are covered –so do not fret.
Workwear for leisure
The workwear overshirt or shacket comes in various colours, designs and patterns. Some have a more tailored look; others are great for those super laid-back days and paired with some straight oversized jeans and high tops.
There are several ways that you can layer it, for example with a light turtleneck or a chunky knit for those colder days, and a beanie complements the look too.
Wrap up
Coats are big part of winter and living in Ireland, and a good coat is a must. You need a coat that's both functional and stylish and this beautiful boiled lambswool single-breasted coat is exactly what you need. It's perfect for layering up with a chunky jumper and pairing with some tailored trousers for that office look. You can also dress this down with some jeans and chunky boots for a more relaxed look and a day out in the Christmas markets.
Ace it
With party season in full swing, you want to show up and turn some heads. The ace up your sleeve is the smoking jacket that’s undoubtedly going to earn you some serious style points at the Christmas party. Team this beautiful jet-black velvet blazer with a simple black turtleneck, tuxedo trousers and slip-on velvet loafers and you will be the talk of the party (in a good way).
Less is more
When it comes to your accessories less is more. A beautiful signet ring with a motif and a timepiece is all you need.
Long live the turtleneck
The turtleneck when worn with a well-tailored suit creates an impeccably elegant look. My top tip is to go for a pure merino wool. A light turtleneck as opposed to a chunky one will not make you look bigger than you actually are. If you are cold layer up with a coat.
Two-step
Black Chelsea boots and black trousers go well together and it’s a great way to mix things up when you are sick of wearing Oxfords, brogues or loafers. However, the loafer, particularly the penny loafer, is my favourite when it comes to pairing with tailoring. There are various colourways you can choose but my favourite is a leather oxblood loafer.
Inject colours
Don’t be afraid to inject some colour into your wardrobe. Greens, ivory, denim, camel tones are your best friends this season.
