The Rock’n’Roll Dublin Half Marathon, which features live bands and DJs at every mile along the way, will have a new route this year, starting from the Samuel Beckett Bridge on North Wall Quay.

The route will take in both the north and south quays, Christ Church, the Guinness brewery, the Royal Hospital Kilmainham, Kilmainham Gaol and Phoenix Park.

Taking place on the August Bank Holiday Monday, August 4th, the race will be preceded by a free Health & Fitness Expo at the RDS all day Saturday and Sunday, featuring sports clothes, health and nutrition information and products, and a sneak peek at some of the bands which will play on the route.

Last year’s inaugural Rock’n’Roll Dublin Half Marathon saw 6,500 athletes from 52 countries taking on the 13.1-mile challenge.
