14-bedroom Slane hotel sells for £1.75 million

A hotel in Slane, Co Meath, bought by the Macken family in 1928 for £1,350, has been sold by them for around £1.75 million

A hotel in Slane, Co Meath, bought by the Macken family in 1928 for £1,350, has been sold by them for around £1.75 million. Local publican Graham Canning has agreed purchase terms for the Conyngham Arms Hotel in the centre of the village. It has 14 en suite bedrooms, a 65-seater restaurant and a separate room to seat 175 customers. Mr Graham has retained Gunne to sell the Poet's Rest bar in Slane, which is expected to make around £550,000. Stephen Collins of Hamilton Osborne King handled the sale of the hotel.
