Hungary/from €160,000: Apartments in phase two of a development in a former bank building in downtown Budapest go on the market this week.
Seventeen one, two and three-bedroom apartments at 4 Garibaldi, District V, Budapest, Hungary are for sale through the Prestige Group with prices starting at €160,000.
Owned and developed by the Prestige Group the scheme will have a total of 37 apartments spread over six floors.
Located in the central business District V, in a prominent position on the street of the same name, 4 Garibaldi is just off Nador Street running between the Hungarian Parliament, the new Four Seasons Hotel and Jozsef Nador Square. Metro, tram and bus links are all within one-minute walk.
The services of UK fashion and interior designer Ben de Lisi have been employed to develop a contemporary look behind the 100-year-old façade of the bank building. The apartments will come fully furnished.
Prices start at €160,000 for 85sq m (915sq ft) one-bedroom apartments. Two bedroom units with 105-130sq m (1,130-1,399sq ft) are priced from €349,000 and three-bedroom apartments with 179sq m (1,926sq ft) are priced from €590,000.
Rental income in Budapest is €2,200-€3,000 per sq m (€204-€278 per sq ft), but top-end developments in good locations close to the parliament can command as much as €4,000 per sq m (€371 per sq ft) , according to the selling agent.
Completion is due from November, according to the selling agent.
