A guide price of over £2 million sterling is being quoted for the Castle Hume Golf and Country Park set on 220 acres of land on the shores of Lower Lough Erne, near Enniskillen, Co Fermanagh. The park comprises an 18-hole championship golf course, and there is planning consent for a hotel, marina, club houses, holiday homes, chalets, equestrian centre and pitch and putt course. The course was opened in 1991 and hosted the Ulster Professional Golf Championship in 1996, 1997 and 1998. It is set on undulating land on the shores of Lough Erne and Castle Hume Lake. The planning permission, dating from 1994, relates to adjoining grazing land, some woodland and sites for holiday homes and apartments. Joint agents Lambert Smith Hampton and Montgomery, of Enniskillen, point out that the Northern Ireland Tourist Board has indicated that grant funding would be available to aid hotel development.
