Hamilton Osborne King in Cork has achieved £3.2 million for a three-acre site with residential potential in the grounds of the former Rochelle boarding school on the old Blackrock Road, in Cork. The site has limited access on to the road, and potential purchasers were in talks with town planners before the purchase of the site about potential residential densities. The price achieved, of around £1 million per acre, is seen as reflecting the strong interest in good residential sites in the city. Also last Wednesday, Jordan Auctioneers of Kildare achieved £3.65 million for a 25-acre site zoned for industrial and warehouse development on the Newbridge side of Naas. The site has immediate access to a slip road and interchange on the N7 motorway.
