A two-bedroom terraced house at 23 Lombard Street West, South Circular Road, Dublin 8, was sold at a Douglas Newman Good auction for £359,500. A two-bedroom apartment at 40 The Warehouse, Dublin 8, was withdrawn by Sherry FitzGerald, which is seeking £545,000.
In Dublin 14, Sydenham House, Sydenham Villas, Dundrum, a four-bedroom detached house on 0.75 acres, was withdrawn by Sherry FitzGerald, which is seeking £1.55 million.
In provincial sales, Waterford agent John Rohan sold Bellevue in New Ross, Co Wexford, at auction for £1.42 million. The house has 11 acres with planning permission for 95 homes. In Co Kildare, a 106-acre farm at Ballycannon, Kilcock, was withdrawn at £710,000 and sold later for a higher figure through Coonan. The same agent auctioned Inch Castle, Athy, a four-bedroom house on 150 acres in three lots: Lot 1, the house on eight acres, was withdrawn at £390,000. Lot 2, 142 acres, was withdrawn at £630,000, while Lot 3, comprising the entire property, was withdrawn at £1.11m.
Still in Co Kildare, a fourbedroom bungalow, Knockroe on Kilcullen Road, Naas, was sold after auction for over £275,000 by Colm McEvoy. A five-bed Georgian house on 16.5 acres, Glebe House, Julianstown, Co Meath, was withdrawn at £840,000 and is under negotiation through Ganly Walters.
An eight-bedroom house on 5.6 acres, The Priory, Muckross Road, Killarney, was withdrawn at £1.4 million and is under negotiation through Sherry FitzGerald-Coghlan.
In commercial sales, Donal O'Buachalla sold a 438 sq m property at 29-/30 Lad Lane in Dublin 2 for £1.15m. In Co Kildare, a five-acre site with outline planning permission for 16 bungalows at Walshestown, Newbridge, was withdrawn at £700,000 and is under negotiation through Brophy Farrell.
The former headquarters of the Dundalk Democrat at Earl Street, Dundalk, Co Louth, was sold at auction for £625,000 by Gunne Commercial. In Tullamore, Cowan Auctioneers sold the Teagasc County Office building on Charleville Road for £517,000.
In Waterford, Purcell Properties achieved £2.12m at auction for a 19,000 sq ft corner site at the junction of High Street/Exchange Street.
