Contractor Gilbert Ash has started work on a £4 million sterling office development at East Bridge Street, next to the recently refurbished St George's Market and between Laganside and the city centre. Letting agents Lambert Smith Hampton has already let the ground and top floors and is quoting a rental level of around £15 per sq ft for the remaining accommodation.

The derelict Floral Buildings has been cleared and work has begun on the four-storey office block, which will have 23,552 sq ft of accommodation. The building will feature a part-retained Victorian facade with a glazed upper level and a curved, raised roof.
