A well-located commercial site beside Dunnes Stores in Cornelscourt, Co Dublin, is expected to make over £5 million (€6.35m) when it goes to auction on May 30th through the Lisney agency.
The 2.2 acre triangular site has extensive frontage on to both the Cabinteely bypass and Clonkeen Road, giving it a high profile along the busy N11 route which runs from Dublin city centre through South Dublin to North Wicklow.
The key to the value of the site rests on its commercial potential. Although, surprisingly, zoned for a residential development, it has largely been in commercial use for over 50 years, mainly as a storage area of motor vehicles, boats, trailers and even a helicopter. There is a four-bedroom house on the land together with outbuildings.
Lisney is also marketing 29.8 acres fronting on to the N11 at Killickabawn, Delgany, Co Wicklow. The joint selling agent is Remax Garden County. The land, like most of the farms beside it, is not specifically zoned in the Wicklow County Development Plan. It is close to Delgany and also convenient to Greystones. The guide price is in excess of £175,000 (€222,204) per annum.
