A price of £2.2 million is being sought for the 6,800 sq ft Movie Star Cafe at 67-69 Botanic Avenue in the heart of Belfast's restaurant and nightlife area. The three-storey building has a capacity for 280 covers and joint agents Hamilton Osborne King and The Whelan Partnership point out that the building would suit alternative commercial uses. The price is one of the largest sought for a licensed premises in Belfast and reflects the key siting of the cafe.
Whelans is also selling the lease, goodwill and fixtures of Tedfords, a 2,733 sq ft restaurant overlooking the Lagan River at Donegall Quay. Whelans is quoting £80,000 for the lease, goodwill and fittings, and the rental is around £30,000.
