Dublin 11 from €260,000: One, two and three-bedroom apartments and townhouses go on sale at Parkview, a development of 254 apartments and houses, close to the proposed metro at Ballymun and about 8kms from the city centre. This is phase two of this Lyndonbarry scheme, which is off Jamestown Road in Dublin 11, backing onto Poppintree Park.
Gunne New Homes will be taking bookings from noon today until Sunday at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Northbrook Park, Santry, where a marketing suite will be open for viewing.
On offer in this phase are 60 units, including 19 three-bedroom townhouses, one-bedroom apartments and two and three-bedroom apartments and duplexes.
One-bedroom apartments of 44-57sq m (474-614sq ft) are priced from €260,000 - €30,000 more than when the scheme was launched last June from plans. Two-bedroom apartments and duplexes of 72-102sq m (775-1,098sq ft) cost from €340,000. Three-bed townhouses of 98-129sq m (1,055-1,389sq ft) start at €385,000.
Developer Lyndonbarry and O'Mahony Pike architects have produced a good standard finish at Parkview, with cream gloss kitchens with walnut-look worktops and floor tiling. Appliances will be provided if contracts are signed within 21 days.
Some apartments and all townhouses come with en suites and all bathrooms include wall and floor tiling. Most apartments have decked balconies, while south-facing back gardens overlooking the park are a feature with the townhouses.
Outside, a communal landscaped courtyard will be for apartment owners' use and green areas will also be planted. Poppintree Park is scheduled for rejuvenation by Dublin City Council, in tandem with the rejuvenation of Ballymun.
