WHEN IRISH people were asked by Dulux what colour has the most positive effect on their mood, yellow and blue both scored 21 per cent . So expect to see lots of yellow and blue paint splashed across 250 public buildings all across the country.

When Dulux spearheaded a campaign earlier this year asking people to nominate buildings that need a serious brightening up, hundreds of people came looking for funding for local buildings.

In total the company will be doing up 66 community centres, 22 scout halls, 20 youth centres, 48 schools and crèches, 26 sports clubs, and a mix of other projects including homes for the elderly, women’s refuges and hospitals.
