Dublin 15: from €505,000A scheme of detached and semi-detached houses has pulled out all the stops with the interior fit-out, writes Kate McMorrow
Semis and detached houses go on sale this weekend at Chapelwood, a medium-sized 90-unit development near Hollystown, Dublin 15.
Three and four-bedroom houses are on offer and Robert McCormack of McPeake Auctioneers will be opening showhouses on the day.
Twenty-five houses are for sale in this phase: they are mostly four-bedroom units, with just three three-bedroom semis on offer.
Prices start at €505,000 for three-bedroom semi-detached houses of 127sq m (1,370sq ft). Four-bedroom semi-detached houses of 147sq m (1,480sq ft) start at €565,000.
Two styles of detached four-bedroom houses are available, measuring 166sq m (1,790sq ft) and 173sq m (1,860sq ft). These are priced from €745,000.
Hollystown Developments has pulled out all the stops with the interior fit-out at Chapelwood. Bathrooms from the Vogue range come with Jacuzzi baths with shower doors as standard, while kitchens have granite worktops and a full range of steel Bosch appliances (including microwave).
Classic stone fireplaces with gas flame-effect fire inset are also part of the package.
Kitchens and bathrooms have extensive wall and floor tiling. Windows and doors are in Rationel pine, with white oak internal doors and brushed chrome handles.
Houses are in a variety of designs. Four-bedroom semis are three-storey, with sittingroom to the front, and kitchen/diningroom spanning the rear. There are three bedrooms - one en suite - on the first floor and a parents' bedroom suite on the top floor.
A comprehensive landscaping plan is in place, similar in quality to the developer's previous scheme at Cityside, Meekstown.
A central landscaped green will include a water feature, children's play area and communal barbecue.
Tiny gardens to the front of the houses will be fully planted, while back gardens will be levelled and seeded.
Construction is well advanced and houses will be ready to move into by September this year, says the selling agent. Viewing starts at noon on Saturday and Sunday.
