Sales ResultsThe Dublin property market was alive again this week with a number of high profile properties selling for strong prices. McNally Handy & Partners yesterday got a contract signed on number 43 Ailesbury Road, a large semi-detached redbrick which had failed to sell at auction in March. It has now sold for "well over" the asking price of €8.5 million, according to John McNally.
Meanwhile Colliers Jackson-Stops has sold the D6 home of socialite Robin O'Reilly for a price in excess of €6.5 million. The Victorian two-storey over garden level redbrick at 26 Leeson Park attracted four conditions of sale and was sold in post auction negotiations yesterday.
The same agency had no less than nine conditions of sale out for the semi-detached house with great development potential at 10 Ailesbury Gardens off Sydney Parade Avenue in Dublin 4. The house, which needs total refurbishment, had an AMV of €1.5 million but sold under the hammer for €2.2 million - the kind of premium that hasn't been seen for 12 months.
