AGENTS Davin and Co are involved in negotiations to sell the Airport Industrial Estate near Dublin Airport after it was withdrawn at auction at £3.8 million. Bidding at the auction opened at £3 million and though there were four interested parties, only two of them took part in the bidding.

The estate is currently producing an income of £355,000, a figure.that is expected to rise to about £400,000 when two rent reviews are completed before the end of the year.

The estate, dating from the late 1970s and early 1980s, is located about two miles from the airport, directly opposite the Airways Industrial Estate and next door to the newly completed Furry Park estate. There is potential to develop another building on the land. The complex is owned by the oil distribution company Maxol, which is currently upgrading many of its petrol stations.
