New homes schemes are slowly re-emerging here and, given the pent-up demand that seems to be out there, it may be a while yet before marketing measures will be required of the type employed by one UK homes builder.
Weston Homes has created the first Lego-themed children’s bedroom for its showhouse in the village of Markyate in Hertfordshire.
The brightly coloured room, which has been created out of red, black, yellow and grey Lego bricks, is on show at the company's Silverbrook development of 73 family homes. Timed perfectly to coincide with the new blockbuster Lego Movie , the bedroom features a host of Lego-themed merchandise. It won't be the last as Weston Homes' chairman Bob Weston says themed marketing of rooms is set to become a trend among housebuilders, having already proved very successful in the movie, theatre, restaurant and retail sectors.
But what happens when the new Power Rangers movie comes out; will it be time to move?
