Artist Cathy Dineen has been illustrating articles for The Irish Times for many years from her home in Bennettsbridge in Co Kilkenny. Now readers have a chance to buy the framed versions for themselves, at the forthcoming National Crafts Fair at the RDS.
Cathy will be showing - and selling - original illustrations, and a whole series of ceramics from tiny tiles and door knobs to giant platters, all decorated with her distinctive, long drawn out faces.
Prices range from £5 for a tile to around £120 for a platter, while the mounted or framed illustrations cost £25 to £200.
Cathy will share a stand with Dublin artist Carla Daly, whose cheeky illustrations are painted and printed on to everything from mugs to toilet seats.
The fair runs from December 13th to 17th.
