PROPERTY developer David Arnold, who has paid in the region of £1.3 million for the Irish Press building at Burgh Quay, Dublin 2, will have to deal with an asbestos problems before deciding on its future.

His agent, John Lombard of Morrisseys, said the new owner had asked his architect to investigate the asbestos issue and he was confident it would be sorted out.

It was possible that the 45,000 square foot block would be refurbished but it was more likely to be demolished. Options under consideration included offices, residential, car park and hotel.
