ShopFront: Painted screens like this one are made by Kildare-born Monaghan-based artist Helen Steele and cost €1,000.
Not a bad price, considering they are acrylic on canvas and have a multitude of uses.
One client used a screen to hide a TV and sound system. Steele came up with the idea last December when she had an exhibition in Paul Sheerhan Jewellers off Grafton Street.
Stuck for wall space, she figured these free-standing pieces could solve the problem.
They stand 5'3" high with 18" panels and can be directly commissioned from Steele, whose work is in the collections of big business types such as Ben Dunne.
