A five-bedroom detached house on 0.5 acres in Blackrock, Co Dublin, Karersee at 2 Granville Road, was sold at auction yesterday for £840,000 (#1.06m) by HOK Residential.

Meanwhile, a large detached five-bedroom house in Foxrock, Dolmur at 10 Dunboy, off Brighton Road, was sold prior to auction for over £1 million (#1.27m) by Lisney.

Nearby, the same agent made over the guide price of £450,000 (#571,382) prior to auction for Greneen, 28 The Coppins, Brighton Road, a four-bedroom bungalow.

In one of the busiest weeks of the auction season, more than half of the 25 houses that went to auction were sold. Eight of these sold under the hammer, two sold prior to auction and four sold after auction, leaving 11 properties still on the market after being withdrawn.

A three-bedroom bungalow in need of modernisation at 4 Craigmore Gardens, Blackrock, was withdrawn at £266,000 (#337,750) and sold later for a higher figure through Quirke Auctioneers.

Lisney is quoting £740,000 (#939,606) for 2 Upper Prince Edward Terrace, Blackrock, a five-bedroom terraced house after it failed to sell at auction.

Still in Blackrock, a two-bedroom mews house at 91 Upper Georges Avenue was withdrawn by HOK Residential, which is seeking £325,000 (#412,664).

In Monkstown, a six-bedroom house, Cron Bryn at The Hill, was withdrawn by Sherry FitzGerald, which is quoting £1.25m (#1.58m).

The Coach House at 32 Monkstown Road, a three-bedroom coach-house, was withdrawn by Bennetts, which is seeking in the region of £450,000 (#571,382).

Also in Monkstown, 7 Trafalgar Terrace, a two-storey over garden level period house was withdrawn and is under negotiation through Douglas Newman Good.

Sherry FitzGerald is seeking £530,000 (#672,961) for 12 Mulgrave Terrace, Dun Laoghaire, a three-bedroom house, following its withdrawal from auction.

Fastnet, a four-bed semi-detached house on Ballygihen Avenue, Sandycove, was withdrawn at £800,000 (#1.015m) by Wyse & Co which is quoting £900,000 (#1.14m).

In Dalkey, Co Dublin, Brigadee on Sorrento Road, a three-bed detached bungalow, sold at auction for £370,000 (#469,803) through Lisney.

Also in Dalkey, 36 Convent Road, a three-bedroom end of terrace house was sold at a Lisney auction for £337,000 (#427,901).

In Sandymount, Dublin 4, a three-bedroom detached house at 14 Wilfield Park made £665,000 (#844,375) at a Sherry FitzGerald auction.

In Dublin 14, 7 Louvain, Ardilea, a five-bedroom bungalow was sold at auction for £550,000 (#698,355) through Property Team O'Mahony.

Dublin 6 and 8

On Sandford Road in Ranelagh, Number 54, a pre '63 investment property currently in 6/7 units was withdrawn by HOK Residential which sold it later for over £620,000 (#787,237).

Elsewhere in Ranelagh, a four-bedroom terraced house at 6 Ranelagh Avenue was sold at a Sherry FitzGerald auction for £410,000 (#520,592).

In Kimmage, 35 Shelton Park, a three-bedroom bungalow, was withdrawn by Sherry FitzGerald which is quoting £250,000 (#317,434).

A four-bedroom semi-detached house at 19 Kimmage Road West, Terenure, was withdrawn at £370,000 (#469,803) and sold later for over £400,000 (#507,895) by Lisney.

Also in Terenure, a two-bedroom bungalow at 56 Rathdown Avenue was withdrawn by Sherry FitzGerald which is seeking £725,000 (#920,560).

Meanwhile, a four-bedroom semi-detached house at 76 Greenlea Road, Terenure, was withdrawn and sold later through Douglas Newman Good.

North Dublin

In Portmarnock, Chimney Rock, a four-bedroom detached house was sold at auction for £510,000 (#647,566) through Sherry FitzGerald.

In Clontarf, Dublin 3, a fivebedroom terraced house at 7 Seafield Road West was sold prior to auction for over the guide price of £675,000 (#857,073) by HOK Residential.

Elsewhere in Clontarf, a three-bedroom bungalow at 152 Clontarf Road was withdrawn by Sherry FitzGerald which is quoting about £600,000 (#761,842).

A two-bedroom cottage at 24 Grattan Parade, Drumcondra, Dublin 9, was sold at auction for £174,000 (#220,934) by Herman White.

Eamon Halpin Auctioneers is seeking £190,000 (#241,250) for 174 Walsh Road, Drumcondra, Dublin 9, a threebedroom semi-detached house following its withdrawal from auction at £175,000 (#222,204).

A derelict cottage at Oldtown, Co Dublin, was sold at auction for £192,000 (#243,789) through Sherry FitzGeraldSherry.

Wicklow

A four-bedroom detached house on 0.5 acres, Cedar Cottage at Russian Village, Kilquade, was sold prior to auction for over the guide price of £550,000 (#698,355) by Hassett & Fitzsimons.

Clarke Auctioneers withdrew Ballinahinch Cottage in Ashford at £235,000 (#298,388). It is currently under negotiation.

Also near Ashford, a four/ five-bedroom schoolhouse at Cappagh was withdrawn at £525,000 (#666,612) and is under negotiation through Hassett & Fitzsimons.

A farmhouse on 36 acres, The Grove House at Tigroney, Avoca was withdrawn by Remax-Garden County which is quoting £450,000 (#571,382).

Private treaty

A five-bedroom semi-detached at 24 Bushy Park Road, Rathgar, was sold for about £800,000 (#1.015m) through Douglas Newman Good.

The same agent sold 2 Cranford, Terenure Road West, a detached five-bedroom house for in the region of £635,000 (#806,283).

In Blackrock, 3 Booterstown Park, a four-bedroom semi-detached property sold for around the asking price of £470,000 (#596,776) through Lisney.

Provincial

Raymond Potterton secured £360,000 (#457,105) at auction in one lot for a two-bedroom house and a three-bedroom cottage called The Church Lodges, Ardbraccan, Navan, Co Meath.

Gunne Residential withdrew Boyne View House in Athlumney, Navan, a period house.

Also in Co Meath, a four-bedroom detached house, Clusker House at Clusker Woods, Tara, was withdrawn at £300,000 (#380,921) by Raymond Potterton, which is seeking over £350,000 (#444,408).

In Co Kildare, Rosglas House in Monasterevin, a five-bedroom house on 5.5 acres was withdrawn at £290,000 (#368,224) by Colm McEvoy, which is quoting £300,000-plus (#380,921-plus).

Still in Co Kildare, a threebedroom bungalow at Ardlea, Standhouse Road, Newbridge, was withdrawn at £205,000 (#260,296) by Sherry FitzGerald-O'Reilly, which is quoting £220,000 (#279,342).

The same agent sold a detached four-bedroom house with retail/commercial potential at Lisdara, John's Lane, Naas, for £650,000 (#825,329).

Meanwhile, Sherry FitzGerald-McDermot is quoting £300,000 (#380,921) for Harbour View in Naas, a two-bedroom detached house, following its withdrawal from auction.

A 30-acre tract of forestry land at Killanure, Mountrath, Co Laois was withdrawn at £60,000 (#76,184) and is under negotiation through Sherry FitzGerald Moran.

In Co Wexford, a cottage at Skeeter Park, Murrintown, was withdrawn and sold later for over £80,000 (#101,579) by Keogh & Associates.

A four-bedroom house on Ballymurphy Road, Tullow, Co Carlow, was sold at auction for £282,000 (#358,066) through Patrick Dawson.

Also in Co Carlow, the same agent sold a three-bedroom house on 74 acres at Kellistown, Carlow in two lots: Lot 1 comprising 42 acres made £305,000 (#387,270) and Lot 2, comprising a house on 30 acres, was withdrawn at £230,000 (#292,039) and sold later for a higher figure.

Commercial

In Dublin 6, a site with planning permission for seven apartments and a retail unit on Lr Beechwood Avenue, Ranelagh, was sold after auction for over £750,000 (#952,303) by joint agents Douglas Newman Good and Mason Estates.

Morrisseys withdrew Grumpy Jacks public house at 25 The Coombe, Dublin 8.

In Dublin 4, a showroom premises plus two apartments on Sussex Terrace was withdrawn at £700,000 (#888,816) by joint agents Jackson-Stops and Eoin Deering who are quoting £850,000 (#1.07m).

A commercial/residential property with gardens, Annaville, Lucan, Co Dublin was sold at auction for £365,000 (#463,454) by McDonald Bros.

In Clondalkin, Dublin 22, a two-storey premises at 3/4 Convent Road was withdrawn at £200,000 (#253,947) by Property Partners-Brady which is quoting £230,000 (#292,039).

In The Ward, Co Dublin, a four-bedroom bungalow with eight commercial units standing on 1.5 acres, Wootton House on Main North Road, was sold prior to auction by GWD.

In Kells, Co Kilkenny, O'Dwyers public house was withdrawn by FitzGerald Auctioneers.
