An Bord Pleanβla has cleared the way for the demolition of the cinema at Glasthule Road in Glasthule, Co Dublin and its replacement by a cinema and office complex. 4M Investments has also secured permission to provide 42 car-parking spaces on the site.

Meanwhile, plans by Vincent O'Connell to provide a 20-bedroom hotel with lounge and diningroom at Sunnyside on the Malahide Road in Artane, Dublin 5, have been blocked by the planning appeals board. The board has also turned down a plan by Dermot Kirwan to build 37 residential units and 51 car-parking spaces at Sunnyhill, Bray Road in Loughlinstown, Co Dublin.
