Bord blocks housing plan in Dunlavin

An Bord Pleanala has blocked plans for a housing development in the Co Wicklow village of Dunlavin

An Bord Pleanala has blocked plans for a housing development in the Co Wicklow village of Dunlavin. The local Tidy Towns committee had objected to the granting of permission for 40 houses. SCD Developments had sought approval for 219 houses on the site. The planning appeals board ruled that the development would be premature because of the existing deficiency in sewerage services.

In Dublin, Astondale Construction has failed in its attempt to secure planning permission for 46 apartments and duplex units at Dodderbank at Milltown Bridge, Dublin 14. The site was withdrawn at auction last November at £2.3 million and sold subsequently to Astondale.
