Dominican Republic: from €1.064m:Beachfront bungalows, with palm leaf roofs inspired by traditional Mexican homes, are for sale at the Punta Perla golf, marina and spa resort in the Dominican Republic.
The 24 two-bedroom, open-plan bungalows, which cost from €1.064 million) ($1.4m) through Punta Perla Sales Ltd, have a floor area of 125sq m (1,345sq ft) plus a 174sq m (1,872sq ft) terrace with a Jacuzzi.
The interiors contrast with the simple-seeming facades. The air-conditioned bungalows have timber and marble floors. The bathrooms are also in marble and are the counters in the kitchens, which are fully fitted. Each home comes with a satellite dish.
The bungalows are beside a 3.5km sandy beach with a restaurant nearby.
These bungalows are just some of the homes that will be available at the Punta Perla resort, which will eventually have 8,000 homes. These will include golf villas, village townhouses, beach and marina apartments and multi-million dollar luxury mansions.
A 51sq m (548sq ft) one-bedroom apartment starts at $199,000 while two-bed villas on a signature golf course cost from $440,000.

Bahamas: from €520,556:"Condo hotel" units in a resort featured in the new Bond movie, Casino Royale, are being offered to Irish investors by Florida-based Monaghan real estate agent Kevin Macklin.
Units in The Residences at Atlantis, Paradise Island in the Bahamas will cost from €532,245 ($700,000) for studio suites to over €1.36m ($1.8m) for two-bedroom suites.
Investors put the units into the hotel rental pool, but can use them themselves for a limited number of days per year. There will be 495 units in the development, being built in phase three of The Residences at Atlantis, an upmarket resort by developer Turnberry. Completions are expected by Christmas 2007. A seminar is being held for investors about the development in the Four Seasons Hotel, Dublin 4, this weekend.
