We know the good people of Cavan sometimes come in for an unfair rap for being less than flathulach with their cash. So the Block did a double take when this property suddenly popped up on myhome.ie.

There was a fairly unremarkable looking “penthouse apartment” on the outskirts of Cavan town with an asking price of €199,000. So far so unremarkable, but here’s the sweetener, the offer is literally Buy One, Get One Free.

Buy a two bedroom penthouse at Cluain Aoibhinn Court and they’ll throw in Number 16 Swellan Lower, a two bed apartment, for free. A quick glance at the Property Register suggests that these properties, if sold separately, would be doing well to bring in a combined total of €200,000. The Block can’t help but wonder if it isn’t more about the way they sell ’em in Cavan than the value to be had. But you can’t fault them for trying.
