German syndicate:A series of information evenings is to be held around the country for investors prepared to spend a minimum of €100,000 to join a syndicate investing in the German commercial property market.
CMC Capital, the wealth and property investment division of Cork-based chartered accountants and tax advisers Crowley & McCarthy, plans to invest over €70 million in properties across Germany, in cities like Berlin, Munich, Stuttgart, Hamburg and Leipzig.
Richard Kingston of CMC capital says "The time to invest in Germany is now," because the property market is ready for a rebound after several years of under-performance.
He says that strong commercial rental yields and prospects for good capital appreciation are the main reasons why German property should apeal to investors.
The first of CMC's information evening will take place on May 15th in Cork city, to be followed by evenings in Dublin, Kilkenny and Killzrney.
CMC Capital says it has been involved in the German property market since earl;y last year and has developed strong links with German property companies, banks and legan and tax advisers.
As well as commercial syndicated investments, it has also handled direct investments in commercial and residential developments.
