Lisney's Belfast office has let a 1,000 sq ft retail unit in Bangor's Main Street to the multiple mobile phone retailer Carphone Warehouse at an initial rental of £41,500 sterling. The unit at 10-12 Main Street was recently refurbished by local developers, Woodburn Investments. The rent equates to Zone A rental of around £50 per sq ft, the agents report.

Lisney also recently sold 44 Main Street, Bangor, a 5,000 sq ft building on behalf of supermarket chain Supervalu, achieving a price of £2.5 million sterling. The building is likely to be subdivided and let in separate units. Lisney reports that the sale of the Supervalu property and the Carphone letting indicate the confidence in Bangor's prime retail area.
