1910: £210
1999: £300,000
Built around 1910, the houses of Cherryfield Avenue were modest, terraced, three-bedroom homes intended for office workers and civil servants.
With pocket sized gardens front and back they cost around £250 to buy in 1910.
In 1947, they had rocketed to £3,200 but more than 20 years later, they had crept up by just about 30 per cent to around £4,800 in 1969.
The big jump came in 1983 when one sold for £41,000 and by 1995, prices had nearly trebled to £110,000.
In 1996, prices hovered around the £150,000 mark, then £220,000 in 1998 and now buyers should expect to pay £300,000 for one in good condition.
