Citywest: from €275,000One and two-bedroom apartments go on sale from plans this week at Citywest Plaza, a brand new scheme beside the new planned Luas stop in Citywest. Savills HOK is the selling agent.
Prices could suit first-time buyers and finish promises to be good, with appliances, some floor tiling and good-sized balconies.
One-bedroom apartments start at €275,000 for 47.2-57.2sq m (508-616sq ft) of living space. Two-beds of 66.4-70.5sq m (715-759sq ft) cost from €320,000. Seventeen apartments are on offer in phase one.
Citywest Plaza is under construction adjacent to a new shopping centre, also being built by developer Davy Hickey Properties.
Dunnes Stores will be the anchor tenant and a range of retail facilities, such as a pharmacy, confectioners and fashion boutiques, are planned for the new centre.
The residential development will have retail and office units on the ground floor and apartments on floors two, three and four.
Completion of both the apartments and shopping centre is scheduled for this autumn.
The finish will include smart bathrooms with floor and wall tiling, contemporary kitchens with a full range of appliances and fitted wardrobes. The heating system will be electric.
The units at Citywest Plaza will have all the regular comforts of new-build, such as intercom security, wiring for television, alarm and telephone and smoke detectors.
A lift will service all floors and surface parking is included in the price.
The location of a Luas stop outside the apartments is a strong incentive for commuters.
Work has started on the extension and the Luas is expected to be in operation from Citywest by 2009.
Plans can be viewed at the Molesworth Street offices of Savills HOK.
