AROUND THE BLOCK:THE HERITAGE Golf and Spa resort in Killenard, Co Laois, is the latest in a number of upmarket Irish hotel resorts to offload some of its holiday homes to Natural Retreats, a UK-based company.
Natural Retreats has already acquired holiday homes in Adare Manor in Limerick, Castlemartyr in Cork, Parknasilla in Kerry and The Hollies, a five-bedroom 19th century manor house on the Ring of Kerry.
Apparently Natural Retreats has acquired eight of the Heritage Resorts golf properties – all two and three bed apartments overlooking the course.
The Heritage fits in with the type of swanky resort Natural Retreats typically has on its books because it has a spa, championship golf course, designed by Seve Ballesteros, an Italian restaurant on its grounds as well as another pub and restaurant in the hotel.
The two-bedroom on-course apartments cost from €476-€748 for a five-day stay and the three- beds cost from €595-€935 for a five-day stay.
Guests can avail of a concierge service which helps to plan their stay and offers advice on places to visit.
