Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council has cleared the way for a large housing development at Ballintyre Hall on Ballinteer Avenue in Dublin 6. A planning application in the name of A Kavanagh has been approved for 401 residential units, most of them apartments and duplex units.

Car-parking will be provided underground and at surface level.

Meanwhile, Regan Developments has secured permission on appeal for 136 apartments on the site of the former St Mary's Home at Gracepark Road in Drumcondra, Dublin 9. In Swords, Albany Homes has sought permission for 250 houses and apartments at lands to the north-west of Castleview housing estate.
