Co Tipperary/€3m: An 18th century country house, Dromard House, in a delightful parkland setting with 253 acres near Templemore, Co Tipperary, has come on the market through Ganly Walters with a guide price of over €3 million. Jack Fagan reports.

Like many other old estates, the owners have used part of the land for forestry to produce an income and a long term windfall. About 70 acres are now in forestry of which 50 acres were planted about eight years ago.

The woodlands are located mainly around the boundaries of the farm and greatly enhance what is a most attractive estate. Otherwise, there are 170 acres of top class grassland and seven acres in cereal.

It will be no surprise if Dromard ends up as a stud farm because of its excellent facilities and ideal setting.
