Dublin 15/from €245,000: A mix of two to four-bedroom houses go on sale today as the last phase of the popular Tyrrelstown scheme is launched five years after it began. Kate McMorrow reports
Five years on from its initial launch, the last phase at Tyrrelstown, Dublin 15, opens for viewing today.
McPeake Auctioneers is taking bookings for 70 two, three and four-bedroom houses at Cruise Park, located at the golf course end of this maturing scheme.
The variety of designs and affordable prices at Tyrrelstown have contributed to its success over the years as a popular first-time buyer location. Twinlite is the developer of this phase.
Nine house types are on offer and completions will begin this autumn.
Prices start at €245,000 for an unusual two-bedroom detached house with garage and 60sq m (650sq ft) of space.
Next in price is a two-bed mid or end-terrace house of 69sq m (740sq ft) costing from €285,000, with double doors to the garden and an en suite off the main bedroom.
A 79sq m (850sq ft) semi from €305,000 has two double bedrooms, one en suite.
There are three styles of three-bedroom houses, all measuring 95sq m (1,000sq ft) in terraced or semi-detached designs.
One type priced from €360,000 includes a bay-windowed sittingroom and large kitchen-cum-diningroom opening to a garden.
Another style from €370,000 has a large kitchen with utility and three good bedrooms. Also from €370,000 and one of the most popular at Tyrrelstown, is a three-bedroom house, with bright reception rooms and good storage.
Among four-bedroom houses on offer is a 124sq m (1,330sq ft) three-storey house priced from €405,000.
This has the main en suite bedroom and second reception on the first floor and three bedrooms and main bathroom on the second.
Another four-bed from €407,500 in terraced style has a large kitchen/diner running the length of the house on the ground floor.
The sittingroom and main bedroom suite are at the next level, with three bedrooms and the family bathroom on the top floor.
Priced from €445,000 are traditional semi-detached and detached houses of 107sq m (1,150sq ft) with garages and the kitchen/diner spanning the width of the house to the rear, opening to the garden.
Standard features at Cruise Park include gas central heating, good quality kitchens and bathrooms with tiling and fireplaces fitted with a flame-effect with gas fire.
