Direct Holidays, the Scottish travel company which is breaking into the Irish package holiday market with a view to undercutting local agents, has taken a lease on 4,419 sq ft of office space in Talbot Street, Dublin 1. The company, which intends cutting out travel agents and their commission from the selling chain, is paying £55,000 per annum for the lease on 17 Talbot Street. It expects to invest about £40 million in its Irish activities over the next four years.
