Co Meath: from €325,000The first eight five-bed detached houses at Priory Gate, a new Kingscroft scheme in Athboy, Co Meath go on sale from plans today with the Allen & Townsend agency. These are the largest units in this estate of 61 four and five-bedroom detached houses, currently under construction on the site in Athboy.
Prices may come as a surprise to those accustomed to Dublin city price levels, with 179 sq m (1,929 sq ft) five-bedroom houses starting at €325,000. Kingscroft is promising a high specification when the project gets to second fix stage.
Kitchens will be Shaker-style and will include an oven, hob and extractor, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and washing machine as standard. Wall tiling will also be included.
A timber fireplace will be installed in the sittingroom. Heating will be oil-fired. All five bedrooms will have fitted wardrobes of a good quality, according to the selling agent. Bathrooms and en suites will have white sanitary ware and shower tiling. Some of the larger houses will have ensuites off two bedrooms.
These substantial brick-fronted houses are designed by architects John F. O'Connor & Associates with a double bay to the front. Good-sized gardens will be levelled and seeded and communal landscaped grounds are concentrated around two central greens.
To access the Priory Gate site coming from Dublin, travel through Athboy village and take the right fork at the far end. Athboy is a thriving village with primary and secondary schools, plenty of sports clubs, a Health Centre and library.
