PROPERTY developer John Ronan has failed in his attempt secure planning permission for 12 detached houses on a large site at Lehaunstown Lane, in Loughlinstown, Co Dublin. An Bord Pleanala has reaffirmed the earlier planning refusal by Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council.

The board has also refused planning permission for the demolition of the former Cliff Manor Hotel, in Greystones, Co Wicklow, and the development of eight two-storey houses on the site. The applicants were O'Connor Building and Development.

In south Dublin, Stockwell developments has been refused planning permission by the board for 15 detached houses at Lurganbrae, Shankill.
