FULBRIGHT COMMISSION

Awards: Study environmental science and policy in the US. The Irish Fulbright Commission finances study, research, teach and other educational activities between Ireland and the US. For the 2004-'05 academic year there will be two awards in the environmental science/policy area: Fulbright/Environmental Protection Agency scholarship for postgraduate study/research and the Fulbright/Columbia University scholarship to study for a master of public administration in environmental science and policy open to people with three-to-five years postgraduate experience. Exhibition: Beginnings in Africa organised by the Museum of Finnish Architecture. Running until November 28th, 2003. On display are the Women's Centre in Rufisque, Senegal by Saija Hollmen, Jenni Reuter and Helena Sandman, and five buildings by Mikko Heikkinen and Markku Komonen in Guinea; a health centre and the Villa Eila in Mali, village schools in Madina Kouta and Boundou Koura and the kahere Poultry Faming School in Kindia.
