IN THE current market its no surprise to see properties dropping their asking prices, so when the Block saw on Tuesday that DNG has raised the price of its leafy headquarters on Ranelaghs Leeson Park by a cool €250,000 to €2.5 million, it did a double take. Number 30 came on the market in April at €2.5 million when the company said it was relocating to Trinity Street in the city centre to the site of the former offices of DNG Commercial. Then in June the price dropped to €2.25 million. To what then can it attribute such a sudden and hefty restoration of faith?

According to chief executive, Keith Lowe: “We’ve decided this is a more appropriate figure to quote given the increased confidence in the market at the moment. There’s been strong interest in the property.” That’s one sale theyll be watching with interest.
