And some of the negatives
The downside is the long commute to the city and this might get worse with the expected population increase. Off-peak, it takes just 45 minutes to drive to O'Connell Bridge. Rush-hour journeys are normally at least an hour, sometimes stretching beyond 90 minutes, although most of the traffic build-up on the way to town begins at the approach to the M50 roundabout. The Trim Road is being upgraded and traffic moves freely here at most times.
There is a regular Bus Eireann service from Trim to the city. The 6.45 a.m. bus is scheduled to arrive at St Stephen's Green at 8.15 a.m. and the 7 a.m. gets to Busaras by 8.30 a.m. according to the latest timetable. There are two evening buses, one at 5.30 p.m., the other at 6 p.m., returning to Trim. The planned rail link to the city from Navan will be an alternative route, when this is up and running.
