The Government's recently announced aid package for the housing industry is expected to result in an early sale of an 11-acre housing site at Kimmage Manor in Terenure, Dublin 6W. Four developers are understood to have tendered for the site, which includes 10,500 sq ft of buildings that are used as a training centre by Eircom.

Hamilton Osborne King had been quoting a guide price of £9 million (€11,427,642) for the land, which has the potential to accommodate 289 houses, apartments and duplexes. Eircom is expected to offload other properties in its £100 million (€126.97m) portfolio following a reduction in its staffing levels.
