ARSENAL-SUPPORTING students will be pleased to hear that Ely Property Group is to build a 400-bed student village at Iseldon Road in Finsbury Park, north London. The Irish/UK Ely Property Group has six student accommodation blocks in Ireland and the UK, housing 1,772 students, and it is building more in Birmingham.

The group has just got planning permission to build the London student village which is close to Finsbury Park tube station, Arsenal football ground and London Metropolitan University North campus which includes a building by architect Daniel Libeskind on the Holloway Road – this could help Irish students feel at home, seeing as Libeskind is also designing a theatre in the Dublin docklands.
