Ashbourne/from €216,950: A new phase of homes at Brindley Park in Ashbourne, Co Meath is being launched this week through Sherry FitzGerald New Homes.

There are 24 two-bedroom homes with 72 sq m (777 sq ft) priced from €216,950, four three-bedroom homes of 89 sq m (960 sq ft) from €242,950 and 22 four-bedroom homes of 115 sq m (1,232 sq ft) priced from €262,950. The four-beds are laid out over three storeys with the fourth bedroom in the converted attic space.

With full brick elevations, these 50 homes have a private back gardens. Completion dates are from summer / autumn 2004. Brindley Park will eventually comprise 245 homes: over 125 units sold in April 2003 with a sales value of €28 million.

Designed by architects Peter White & Associates and developed by Kingscroft Developments Ltd, Brindley Park is set in a series of streetscapes with two good-sized areas of open space.

Ashbourne is 13 miles from Dublin and is a fast-growing commuter town. It offers easy access to the M50, Dublin Airport and the Blanchardstown and Liffey Valley shopping centres.

With a population of around 8,000, the town is due to get a new shopping centre soon. The new town centre is expected to include a cinema and bowling alley. Dunnes Stores is believed to have secured another site in the town ear-marked for a rival shopping complex.
