Howth Road is a long, pleasant road that curves inland from Clontarf and reaches the seafront after Raheny. The houses differ in style along its length, and "Innisdaff" at number 599, between Raheny village and the sea in Dublin 5, is a 1930s semi-detached four-bedroom home. Douglas Newman Good is guiding €675,000 prior to auction on October 21st.

With 139 sq m (1,500 sq ft) of well-proportioned living space and an enormous south-facing back garden close to shops, schools, the sea and the DART, this address is bound to appeal to families.

The front garden is partly in lawn with a concrete driveway, and there is also a garage. The front of the house is pebble-dashed and has a double bay window. A porch protects the front door, which opens into a bright creamy hall with a laminated wooden floor that covers the whole of the downstairs.

The 1930s-style is apparent in the high ceilings and the original carpentry survives, though the windows have been replaced with PVC. To the left, the livingroom is at the front, with an art deco-style mahogany fireplace and a simple cornice. This leads directly to the diningroom, to form a nice open space for entertaining.

Off this, through French doors, is a sunroom with large windows and a glass door to the garden. This is one of the highlights of the property - it is 160ft long and well maintained, with plenty of mature trees and a patio.

There is a good flow of space throughout the rooms, as the kitchen is accessible from the diningroom, the sunroom and the hall. It has been modernised to include lots of maple units and an island, as well as space for eating. Out the back door, a covered side passage leads to the garage.

Upstairs, the largest bedroom is at the front, incorporating the bay window. The second bedroom is also a good double and there are two singles. These all share the fully tiled bathroom, which has been refitted recently.
