Convenient to the Arklow bypass, Woodlands is a 300-house scheme in a cul-de-sac development that has already recorded sales of 250 units.
Two-bedroom townhouses with an average of 72.4 sq m (780 sq ft) start at €189,500. Three-bedroom townhouses are priced from €205,000, three-bedroom semis cost from €210,000 and three-bedroom bungalows start at €240,000. The three-bedroom homes have an average floor space of 102 sq m (1,100 sq ft). Designed by architects Meehan Levins Partnership of Arklow and built by Noonan Construction, Woodlands has plenty of space and all homes have gas-fired central heating.
Arklow is a fast-growing commuter town. The N11 to Dublin has been improved with the addition of the Arklow bypass, a road widening scheme through the Glen o' the Downs is open and the Ashford/Rathnew bypass is to be completed by the end of 2004.
