Greystones/from €345,000: Forty apartments go on sale this weekend at Charlesland Park, a major new homes development at Greystones, Co Wicklow.
Hooke & MacDonald is the selling agent. This is the final phase at Charlesland Park, a scheme of 520 houses and apartments under construction beside Charlesland Golf and Country Club on the southern fringe of the town.
Developer Devondale and contractor Brian M Durkan have produced a variety of styles, so 10 show units will open for viewing next Saturday and Sunday.
Prices start at €345,000 for large two-bedroom apartments of 70sq m (750sq ft). Three-bed apartments of 88sq m (945sq ft) cost from €395,000. Duplexes with three bedrooms and 88sq m (945sq ft) start at €390,000, while four-bed duplexes of 124sq m (1,335sq ft) are from €455,000. A total of 12 apartments and duplexes are available for sale.
Townhouses are in the majority and these are bound to be popular, given the shortage of houses with proper gardens for sale in this location. Two-bed townhouses with 80sq m (860sq ft) of living space start at €395,000. Three-bed townhouses of 93-114sq m (1,000-1,227sq ft) cost from €495,000.
Exteriors are timber-framed and faced with Durkan's signature brick, with pine window frames. Own-door apartments are at ground floor level and duplexes with terraces are above. With the townhouses, buyers can choose between kitchens at the front and living/diningrooms opening to the garden, or vice versa. Townhouse gardens are a good size and come landscaped, with paved terraces and garden sheds.
Parking spaces with the apartments and duplexes are at surface level, while townhouses have parking driveways.
Charlesland Park was designed by Arthur Hickey of CCH Architects.
Previous schemes by developer Devondale include Riverdale on Dargle Road, Bray, Carrigmore at Citywest, Saggart and Botanic Square, Glasnevin.
