An original copy of the 1916 Proclamation owned by a Co Longford family €100,000 (€60,000-€80,000). An archive of documents relating to the Wyse family of Waterford, dating back to the 14th century and estimated at €100,000-€150,000, was sold prior to the auction to the new Waterford Museum of Treasures for “an undisclosed sum”.
Sunday (April 15th) Bonhams, New York. “RMS Titanic: 100 Years of Fact and Fiction”. An unused ticket to the launch of the ship in Belfast on May 31st, 1911, made $56,250 ($50,000-$70,000).
