Paintings sold included Young Girl Seated by Julius F Schrader, €4,000 (€4,000-€6,000) and Treescape Near Malahide, by Nathaniel Hone €2,800 (€2,500-€3,500); and among the furniture items, a fold-over Regency mahogany card table, €1,500 (€1,500-€1,700).

Tuesday (February 15th):Herman Wilkinson of Rathmines will hold an auction of house contents on the premises of 33 Rathdown Park, Terenure, Dublin 6W at 11am.

Highlights include a rare Belleek classical female figure - painted to appear bronze, (€1,500-€2,000); an inlaid mahogany display case in the style of William Hicks, (€1,500-€2,000); and a Georgian Sheraton-style teapoy (€800-€1,200). There’s a selection of gold sovereign and half-sovereign coins.

Wednesday (February 16th):Adam's, 26 St Stephen's Green, Dublin 2. 11am auction called Adam's Attic featuring 600 lots with an eclectic mix of porcelain, furniture, pictures, silver glass and various collectibles - most with low estimates. Viewing tomorrowfrom 2pm-5pm and continues Monday and Tuesday.
