THE international fine art auction house, Bonhams has appointed Jane Beattie as the company’s representative in Ireland, based in Dublin.

She was, until recently a fine art consultant and valuer with the Oliver Sears Gallery in Molesworth Street, Dublin 2, and, prior to that, an associate director with Adam’s. Her appointment means that all three of the big international fine art auctioneers now have a presence in Ireland. Both Sotheby’s and Christie’s already have representatives here.

Matthew Girling, Bonhams CEO for Europe and the Middle East, said Ms Beattie "will doubtless build on our presence in Ireland which is one of the great storehouses of art and antique treasures in Europe with a very educated and growing group of art buyers. – MP
