A full-time, one-year diploma in Fine and Decorative Arts begins on Monday October 10th and runs until the end of May 2012. Participants attend lectures and guided visits to museums, galleries and houses of interest throughout Ireland for three days each week (Monday-Wednesday) during the academic term and use the other days to work on a dissertation.

The principal subjects covered are the history of furniture, architecture and interior decoration, painting and silver. Guest lecturers also talk on subjects from costume to oriental rugs. Course director is Roxane Moorehead and the cost is €3,550. A more condensed certificate in Fine and Decorative Arts runs one night per week (Tuesday, 6.30pm to 9pm) from October 11th. The cost is €1,250.
